At a small presentation ceremony at the Museum on 16 October 2010, QAM thanked a number of local citizens who have made significant contributions, particularly with regard to retaining the Museum on its existing site when it was feared that Caloundra Airport would close. With the future of the airport and the Museum assured, it was an appropriate time to say thanks. Ron Strong and Tony Chamberlain were unable to be present to receive their certificates.
