Highlight of the Museum's annual Open Cockpit Weekend on 1/2 July
2006 was the presence of Sikorsky Seahawk N24-003 of No 816 Squadron
RAN. The helicopter arrived from Nowra on 30 June landing in the
QAM compound to the south of Hangar 2. The presence of the Seahawk
combined with perfect weather throughout OCW was instrumental
in attracting record crowds to the Museum. The photo shows QAM
President, Cliff Robinson, presenting a framed certificate of
appreciation to LCDR Karl Knoll of No 816 Sqn. The Seahawk successfully
escaped from the QAM compound on Monday 3 July, returning to Nowra.
