Metroliner
VH-BIF arrived at QAM, Caloundra on the 29th April after its long road trip from
Airworld at Wangaratta in Victoria. The above photograph shows the fuselage being
separated from the wing at Wangaratta. Because the wing is one piece, two trucks
were required. The recovery crew comprised QAM members, Cliff Robinson and Alan
Graham and Fred Witney, an interested local. It is intended that the Metro will
be restored as VH-BPV in Bush Pilots livery.
