This recently
published book provides in-depth descriptions of all aircraft
and engines in the QAM collection. In addition to technical
specifications, it also presents a comprehensive history of
each individual aircraft in the collection. The book is the
work of QAM member, Don Cameron.
Forty seven airframes and more than thirty five engines are
discussed. In addition, nineteen propellers are listed as are
twenty nine major items of airfield and aircraft equipment and
fifteen large scale aircraft models. The book concludes with
a list of twelve unique and historic aircraft in the QAM collection.
The book is complete to November 2004 but acquisitions since
that date are also listed. There are fifty eight illustrations,
forty in colour, in the 143 page, A4 size book which is printed
on 113gsm gloss art paper with the cover printed on 300gsm gloss
art in full colour and celloglazed.

All proceeds from sale of the book will go towards the Queensland
Air Museum's main activity: preserving and displaying Australia's
aviation heritage.
The book was made possible by a grant from the Regional Arts
Development Fund of the Queensland Department of Arts and Cultural
Affairs. Local grants were administered by a committee established
by the Caloundra City Council. The book was officially launched
by Don Aldous, the Mayor of Caloundra, on 5 August 2005 at a
VP Anniversary ceremony.
