METEOR DELIVERY
ARCHERFIELD 15th JULY 1975

 
This photograph was taken outside the Royal Queensland Aero Club at Archerfield on 15th July 1975. Meteor WD647 has just completed its delivery flight to QAM and the aircraft is being officially accepted on behalf of QAM by the late Air Commodore Deryck Kingwell (#72) from the two crew, Peter McLean (#73) and Dave Smith (#74). Also present is Mr Grant (#50) from the British High Commission.

Matt Denning Matt has come up with other photographic evidence that he is #58 not #56. Matt was photographed in the cockpit of the Meteor on the same day so there is no longer any doubt that he is #58. Moral - never argue with a world authority! The spooky thing is that #56 is the spitting image of Matt several years later!
